Yugoslavia M1948 Mauser Bayonet

In an excellent condition a very early M1948 Yugoslavian bayonet Nicely blued all over and patina on the wooden grips. Maker markings in cyrrilic ПРЕДУЗЕЋЕ 44 which means factory 44. Factory 44 was the Zavodi Crvena Zastava in Serbia and still is a weapons factory. On the other side of the ricasso and cross-guard there are stamps BK in a rectangle and a marking W BK (Cyrillic) stands for.Vojna Kontrola or in English Military Control. The scabbard is also very nicely blued and without any dents. Low numbered 5388. The excellent coditioned frog is a replica K98 frog which came with the bayonet. Blade length 24,7cm overall length 38cm The M1948 bayonet was a short version of the pre-War M1924 bayonet, adopted when Yugoslavia rebuilt the Vojno Tehnicki Zavod (Military Technical Institute), which was totally destroyed during the Second World War.
