US WWII Army Meat Can (E.A. Co.) 1943 with initials

In a very good condition a WWII mess kit from the US army This specific meat can as they were called during WWII (this later changed to meat pan) was made by the Eastern Aluminium Compagny and dated to 1943. It is also marked by the owner with his initials W.P. Before 1944 the can was made from corrosive resitant steel (like this one for sale) and there after from aluminium.
