Italy WWII remembrance medal 2nd division Libia

A very good conditioned and rare medal. 2nd division CC.NN. October 28th Libia. This very rare and irregular constructed medal was made in 1941 in bronze to remember the 2nd division CC.NN Frontside: Mussolini with wing of victory looking out to the pyramid of Egypt. 2 Divisione CC.NN. 28 Ottobre Libica. On the side the text Buono Backside: The flame of faith with fascist symbolics. A M in the backside for Mussolini. Summa Avdacia et Virtus which is the motto of the 2nd. division. The reason that this medal is so rare is that it was given to the 2nd division soldiers who were quickly here after with their battle with the English annihilated and all that were left made prisoners of war and send to South-Africa to be interned. All their possesions like these medals were taken by their conqueror as souvenir or simply melted down.
