Brazilian M1924/49 short navy/ marine bayonet

Rare and very nice bayonet from Brasil. Short M1924/49 bayonet pommel still blued and wIth fuller. Only marking on the pommel '02840' There is a small wood chip from the grip but it looks like this happened a lot time ago, since the wood aging (patina) is similar colored. Also the cross guard is a little loose but nothing worrying. The blade and pommel, grips are rock solid. In the past it has been extensively cleaned on the blade and cross-guard therefor the blueing has been lost on these parts. Brasil only had 11000 Fabrique National model 1949 .30-06 rifles ordered for which this bayonet was used. Brasil is according to the research from Wayne Johnson (2019) the only country that purchased this specific bayonet. Other countries used the long version or the even shorter double edged version.
