Description

Excellent Blued Dutch klewang sword with scabbard. Matching numbers! The sword is made by the Hembrug factory ( marked on the ricasso) in Zaandam (Noord-Holland). Issued to the Dutch East-Indian colony. Most likely used by the KNIL. Otherside of the ricasso it is marked with crown over Z which means it is made in 1916. On the guard it is marked with the number 182A The scabbard is from the 'Centrale Werkplaats' which is placing the scabbard to 1900. This is visible because it belonged to two other klewang before this klewang received this scabbard. These other numbers are striked through. It has the matching number stamped on it 182A Blade length 62,2 cm Overall length 75 cm
