WWI Kaiserreich 2nd pattern M1884/98 bayonet J.A. Henckels

A nice but used Imperial German Mauser M1884/98 2nd pattern, J.A. Henckels marked on the ricasso, manufactured in 19.. (not readable anymore), vagely marked on the spine with crown over W and here under a proof mark. The 2nd pattern M1884/98 (otherwise K98) bayonets were made and used in WWI taking that into account the wooden grips are still excellent. Button still works. Bayonet form and size are still good. It has some pitting on the blade but has been cleaned many many times in the past. Most marking have been wiped off. General state of the bayonet between used and good. Blade length 24,6 cm Overall length 38 cm
