Description

Very nice blued Czechoslovakian VZ-24 bayonet from 1932 (marking on pommel E lion 32) made in Brno (marking z in one circle) . Numbered 1117 Scabbard is from 1946 (marking E3 lion 46) and made by plant 2 Zbrojovka Brno. The bayonet was partially altered by the Germans during the occupation of Czechoslovakia. The muzzle ring was removed, blued, screws slotted, release button slotted. German called these Seitengewehr 24 (S24 t) Blade length = 29,6 cm Overall length = 42,8 cm As in the case of this bayonet after the war the bayonets were refitted with new scabards and re-used or re-exported.
