Original minted coin. US Morgan dollar dated 1886, with an unmarked reverse indicating Philadelphia Mint. Very nice details remaining to the surfaces of the coin, cleaned at some point in the past. In 1886 the Robert Louis Stevenson novel, the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde became popular, Sears, Roebuck & Company began their first mail-order sales, Coca-Cola was first sold at an Atlanta Pharmacy by John S. Pemberton, and in New York, the Stature of Liberty was dedicated.
