British Racal STH MKII Combat Vehicle (Tank) Crewman Helmet

Description

In a very good condition a rare to find British Racal STH MKII Combat Vehicle Crewman Helmet. In 1976, a new helmet was introduced, the Racal Acoustics STH Mk II (also known as AFV-76). This was much better and more comfortable than the dreaded Bone dome helmet , also known as Turnip or Dan Dare. However, production and deliveries of the new helmet proved to be too slow. By this time, the British Army had noted the design of the US DH-132 which entered service in 1973. So in 1983, the Combat Vehicle Crewman's Helmet (CVCH) came in and is still in use today. A very hard to find Tank Crew helmet!
