M16 Heer Correct Late Reissue Transitional Single Decal

This helmet is a German WWI model 1916 helmet, refurbished in the pre-world war II days as a transitional army helmet– and then later refurbished again and given a coating of very heavy field Gray and a single heer decal on the left side. The refurbishment also consisted of putting in a new liner and removing the air vents and chin strap lugs that were of World War I vintage. A very interesting helmet therefore, rarer configuration, and great collecting condition. COA accompanies.
