Royal Air Force pilot's wing gold RAF sweetheart brooch

A beautiful scarce Elizabeth II period 'Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch', polished 'RAF' monogram mounted on a green enamel laurel wreath, surmounted by a Queen's Crown in red, flanked by large finely feathered wings, the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1984 and maker's details 'J.W.B'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings with safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect. Wingspan 55mm.
