A superb quality rare '5th Regiment Royal Scots of Canada regimental sweetheart brooch'; Boar's Head on Torse resting in 'NE OBLIVISCARIS' blue enamel Latin motto scroll (Do Not Forget) with '5' to the centre, mounted on a slender bar impressed '15ct' (pre 1931 15 carat gold). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel and housed in a velvet lined fitted case with maker's details to the lid 'F.Hilser Goldsmith Jeweller Qualified Optician 43, Market Place, Trowbridge'. Width approx 51mm. Height approx 18mm. 'The 5th Regiment Royal Scots of Canada' was formed in 1900.
