The Royal Canadian Regiment 1916 RCR antique silver sweetheart brooch

A very scarce original First World War antique period 'Royal Canadian Regiment silver sweetheart brooch' in the form of the Regimental cypher viz. an eight pointed star, bearing Crowned VRI cypher; the reverse impressed with London silver hallmarks for the year 1916 and maker's details 'C.Brs' (Corke Brothers & Co). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, minor surface scratches. Diameter 28mm.
