WW1 Canadian Engineers CEF gilt sweetheart brooch

A scarce original First World War period 'Canadian Engineers CEF sweetheart brooch'; gilded brass maple leaf with an applied crowned title circlet inlaid with blue enamel bearing a beaver to centre on white enamel ground. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, gilt remains bright, however this brooch is a marriage with evidence of another badge underneath. Height 30mm.
