WW2 German Luftwaffe Double Decal M35 Helmet With Blast Damage To Front - 1938

A 1938 dated Luftwaffe double decal M35 helmet that has battle damage to the front of the crown area in the form of cracks from a close vicinity blast. Made by the firm 'ET' this helmet is still in its early Luftwaffe blue factory paint finish with second pattern eagle & national shield both showing light wear. All three liner pins are undisturbed to both inside & out. Internally a careful inspection of the reinforced aluminium band reveals a date of 1938.The liner has never been out of the helmet this bearing the number ' Braun' to underside of one tongue when carefully lifted. Finally , chinstrap is a brown Luftwaffe issue with aluminium buckle .
