A scarce original First World War period Canadian Expeditionary Force 'CEF 103rd Infantry Battalion gilt sweetheart brooch'; maple leaf pattern bearing crowned 'Res non verba' motto. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, gilt remains bright, an excellent example. Height 36mm.
