WW2 German Army M43 Tunic With Dark Green Collar Conversion

A midwar German four pocket M43 Army tunic of the M43 pattern which has been tailored by the soldier to give the appearance of an earlier issue with dark green tunic & pleats to each of its front pockets. This practice was not uncommon for older serving soldiers who would often have , where tolerated , alterations carried out on their field blouses according to the mans individual preference. Tunic has a classic three holed rayon lining with some other wartime tailoring evident in the form of the tunic shortened as it was the fashion to have only a short skirt at the back. All buttons are present with dark green backed breast eagle of the M36 pattern & matching style collar tabs in preference to what the tunic would have left the factory with. Overall good condition .
