An 'As Found' WW2 German Blue MP40 Magazine Pouch

A fabulous midwar blue web MP40 magazine pouch recently acquired directly from NW European sources & offered as it came to me straight from the outbuilding. Constructed entirely from heavy blue web material its three closure straps are each metal tipped with belt loops to rear also in blue webbing . Side strap for securing to Y straps complete with D ring. Although due to age & wear it is difficult to see any markings I believe this to be an example of those that carried the 3 letter code ' gyc' produced around 1942 . It is evident that this is a combat used piece with each closure flap still bearing witness marks to the storage of magazines. Having lain untouched in a barn or other outbuilding for many years it has what appears to be a rodent gnaw to one part & a tear to one flap.
