US Indian Wars Era M1872 Infantry Officers Kepi

Original era manufacture. A private purchase quality hat, of regulation pattern. Dark blue body, with an unbound, black painted leather visor. Thin gold wire chin cord secured by two eagle buttons displaying the letter I on their chests.  Black polished cotton lining with a black leather sweatband. The black cloth covered top disc displays a retailers name in faded silver ink, and what is likely the initials of the original owner G. W. T.. No moth issues, just some crazing to the surface and fading from age. I love these old hats...wish I could keep everyone of them.
