B.S.A. Silver Wings Motorcycle Badge by Birmingham Medal Co

A very scarce original circa 1930's period 'Birmingham Small Arms BSA Silver Wing motorbike lapel badge'; white metal example in the form of a pair of wings, the centre depicting the company logo, a stack of three rifles, all resting on the title scroll 'B.S.A. SILVER WINGS' bearing hand painted red decoration; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Birmingham Medal Co 22, Frederick Street' (1930 to 1939 when they changed their name to Birmingham Medal and Badge Co). Good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, red hand painted decoration now flaking. Height approx 29mm.
