Bonzo the Dog cartoon character given a bone badge c.1924

A very rare original circa 1924 period English Made 'Sketch' magazine cartoon character 'Bonzo the Dog gilt and enamel pin badge'; the reverse impressed in relief 'BONZO' 'Rd 701707' a registration, design and patent number for the year 1924 with the creators facsimile signature 'G.Studdy' (George Studdy). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height approx 24mm.
