National Hospital Service Reserve Northern Ireland nursing first aid badge

A good original pre-1953 Cold War period 'National Hospital Service Reserve (N.I) volunteers pin badge', gilt shield inlaid with green enamel, surmounted by a King George VI Crown. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. Height 28mm. National Hospital Service Reserve a Cold War Civil Defence organisation established in 1949 and disbanded in 1968.
