A scarce original circa 1940's period 'City General Hospital Leicester nurses pin badge'; coppery convex oval example, title surround 'CGH SEMPER AD SUPREMA' (Always at the top) with Leicester Wyvern to the centre; the reverse inscribed 'FRANK ELLIOTT OCTOBER 1947' and with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St. Birningham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact minor wear to top point. Height 42mm.
