A scarce original First World War very early issue period official 'War Munition Volunteer workers gilt brass badge'; Crowned strap, shield to voided centre depicting crossed cannon guns, the reverse impressed with maker's details in relief 'J.R.Gaunt & Son Ltd London' 'Warranted Fire Gilt' and with official VERY LOW ISSUE NUMBER '52'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting. Height approx 44mm.
