A very rare original First World War period well designed good quality British Red Cross motor ambulance drivers die stamped gilt badge' in the form of a heavy duty voided spoked wheel, the white rimmed hub bearing a central translucent enamel red cross on gilt ground, with large protruding wings bearing blue enamel title 'BRC'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting HOOK now ABSENT, no stress marks or damage to the enamel. Price reflects. Height approx 32mm.
