Muffin The Mule Childrens Club T V. Comic Road Safety Award Badge circa 1950

A scarce original circa 1950 period 'Muffin Club TV. Comic Road Safety Award gilt badge'; red enamel triangle the centre depicting an embossed seated Muffin the Mule with a long tail; the reverse inscribed 'T V. ROAD SAFETY AWARD'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no defects to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example. Height approx 27mm. This badge was awarded to children who took part in the road safety campaign it cost 1s/3d old money which was quite alot in 1950.
