WW2 Parachute Regiment other ranks beret badge

A scarce ORIGINAL classic wartime issue 'Parachute Regiment beret badge'; die stamped white metal winged parachute canopy surmounted by a Royal Crest bearing a non-voided crown. Very good condition, complete with original two loops and split pin, minor service wear. Width approx 67mm. Originally formed as The Parachute Corps 22nd June, 1940 at The Central Landing School, Ringway, Manchester; redesignated The Parachute Regiment, Army Air Corps 1st August, 1942.
