Scottish Women's Rural Institutes SWRI for home & country badge

A scarce original circa 1920's 'Scottish Women's Rural Institutes badge', gilt heart inlaid with white enamel, surmounted by a coronet, each orb with the initials 'SWRI', the voided centre bearing blue chevron inscribed 'For Home & Country', the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford' and Registration Number '671035' a registered, design and patent date of 1919. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minor manufacturing blemish, gilt finish remains bright. Height approx 25mm. The Scottish Women's Rural Institutes SWRI was formed in 1917, the named was changed to Scottish Women's Institutes in 2015.
