A good original last quarter of the 20th century period 'National Federation of the Women's Institutes gilt badge', the centre bearing large red enamel 'WI' monogram on white enamel ground and 'For Home and Country' green enamel bars top and bottom; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'W.O.Lewis (Badges) Ltd B'Ham.19'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minor manufacturers infill flaw, gilt finish remains bright. Size appox 27 x 27mm.
