WW1 Haslingden Volunteer League lapel badge Rossendale Lancashire

A rare original First World War period 'Haslingden Volunteer League gilt and enamel lapel badge'; Crowned blue enamel title circlet, the centre bearing the embossed Borough Coat of Arms of the town granted in 1915 just after they were formed; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'THOMAS FATTORINI BOLTON'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel. Height 33mm. Formed in January 1915 and officially affiliated to the National Volunteer Training Corps VTC organization.
