A scarce original circa pre 1939 period 'Girl Guides Brown Owl Leader pin badge'; gilt brass example inlaid with yellow translucent enamel, depicting a beautifully feathered head of a wise owl, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Collins London' 'Regd No 664109' a registered, design and patent date of 1918. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height approx 19mm.
