Arthur William Harling was born in Snape, Suffolk in 1895,He joined the Royal Flying Corps on 25th July 1916.He had previously served with the 6th Suffolk Regt., from the 29/09/1914 to 24/07/1916. Served in France 02/07/1917 then to Egypt 03/07/1919 until 11/03/1919.Seerved with 4, 214 and 216 (Port Said) Squadrons. Discharged from Netley Hospital Physically unfit on 14/05/1921.
