United Machine Workers Association Trade Union Badge

A scarce original early 20th century 'United Machine Workers Association lapel badge'; gilt bowl shape example bearing blue enamel title, the centre depicting an angel and wreaths, with white enamel motto scroll above 'BE UNITED & INDUSTRIOUS'; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'THOMAS FATTORINI BOLTON' and 'Rd 632818' a registration design and patent year for 1914'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, enamel with very minor manufacturers flaw, gilt finish remains bright. Height approx 25mm.
