A scarce original First World War period 'On War Service 1914 badge', gilt brass example bearing central Crown, within dark blue enamel title surround; the reverse with scarce maker's details 'W.O.Lewis Howard St Birmingham'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, minor defect to the enamel. Diameter approx 26mm.
