Eastbourne Rovers Cycling Club 1896 Hm Silver Shield Badge formed 1891

A rare original Victorian period 'Eastbourne Rovers Cycling Club membership badge'; large silver shield the title inland with red enamel; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1896 and maker's details 'VAUGHTON BIRMM'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, no damage to the enamel, minor surface scratches. Height 37mm.
