A scarce original Second World War period 'Co-operative Wholesale Society Air Raid Precaution gilt badge' inlaid with yellow enamel depicting a large corn sheaf flanked by farm sickle and spade with 'ARP' to the center and 'CWS' tri-part scroll below, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel. Diameter 25mm.
