King George VI & Queen Elizabeth 1937 Coronation Hospital Fund Medal

A scarce souvenir aluminium medal, produced for the Coronation in 1937. The obverse with Crowned busts left and title 'George VI Queen Elizabeth Crowned May XII', the reverse inscribed CANADA, INDIA, S.AFRICA, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, BRITAIN' all strung from a gilt suspension bar with pin fitting inscribed 'CORONATION HOSPITAL FUND' this enhanced with a piece of red, white and blue silk ribbon in the form of a 'V'. Good condition. Diameter approx 35mm.
