A scarce original 'National League of Airmen 1935 badge' in the form of a gilt metal aeroplane inlaid with dark blue enamel, the reverse with maker's details 'Caxton Name Plate MFG.Co London'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact. Wingspan 29mm. Length 21mm. The National League of Airmen was created in 1935 by Lord Rothermere, Britain's first Secretary of State for Air.
