Butlins Holiday Camp Staff Waitress Numbered Badge

A rare original 'Butlin's Holiday Camp Staff gilt oval badge' red enamel gilt lined oval 'STAFF' with 'BUTLIN'S' scroll below both superimposed with a large 'W' for WAITRESS'; the reverse with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London and impressed with official issue number '281'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Size approx 28 x 16mm. Some interesting information accompanied this badge, stating it was used by staff at the Blackpool Camp, however I have been unable to confirm this.
