A scarce original post 1953 single unworn 'Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service Principal Matron tippet rank badge', gold wire bullion padded Queen's Crown surmounting Queen Alexandra cypher of crossed initials 'A' intertwined around a gold wire anchor, Red Cross below within bullion circle with red bar below, the reverse with black waxed hession backing maker's paper label 'Griscti's Malta Embroiderers' and numbered '375'. Very good condition, colour and bullion remain bright. Height approx 119mm.
