Veteran Reserve London officially numbered badge

A good original pre First World War period 'Veteran Reserve London gilt badge' small pattern example in the form blue enamel oval title, gilt Crown to voided centre, the reverse with maker's details 'J.R. Gaunt London', impressed with official issue number '4409' and 'Rd No 579118' a Registration, Design and Patent number for the year 1911. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example. Height 28mm.
