A rare original circa 1950's period 'Robertson's Golly Footballer promotional badge' with pop eyes, small mouth, playing a small brown football, light blue coat and white waistcoat displaying the advertising slogan 'Golden Shred' to chest, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Makers Charles Davis Warstone Lane B'Ham.1'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel with stress mark to left leg otherwise good, gilt finish remains bright. Height 34mm.
