Description

A scarce original circa early Second World War period 'County Borough of Southend-on-Sea chromium plated cap badge'; King George VI crowned blue enamel title surround, Coat of Arms bearing motto 'Per Mare Per Ecclesiam' (Through the sea through the Church) to centre; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford Works Birminham' (a format used between 1933–1939). Good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin, small enamel defect to the later part of constabulary. Height 39mm.
