Women's Rifle Association Rifle League Winners Division 6 Badge Ex WHD

A rare original post 1944 period 'Women's Rifle Association badge', gilt shield inlaid with brown enamel with yellow border inscribed 'RIFLE LEAGUE' crossed rifles to the centre 'WRA' between the barrels 'WINNERS DIV 6' below; the reverse impressed '1950'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. Height 29mm.''In 1944 it was announced that, in common with the 'Home Guard', WHD would stand down, continuing its existence as the 'Women's Rifle Association'.
