Royal Engineers Old Comrades Association OCA badge medal H. HIGMAN 1951

A scarce original circa 1950's period interesting 'Royal Engineers Old Comrades Association medal'; ornate gilt medallion mounted with pre 1953 King George VI Crowned enamel RE badge, the scroll inscribed 'SERVICE - NOT SELF', the reverse named 'H. HIGMAN 1951' and suspended from the Corps colours silk ribbon with ornate suspension bar. Very good mint condition. Height approx 71mm. It is possible this Royal Engineers Association medal was presented to 2021866 Corporal H Higman who was awarded the Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal in 1939, whilst serving with the Royal Engineers.
