British 15th Kings Parachute Battalion Slouch Hat 1943 - Nice Used Condition

A nice used example of a British Slouch Hat. Clearly makers marked Adam Ashworth & Sons Ltd (Bury) and 1943 dated. The hat compromises a size 6 7/8. The Slouch hat is original mounted to the 15th (British) Parachute Battalion. With Kings formation patch and Parachute Regiment cap badge. The 15th (British) Parachute Battalion was formed in 1945. The battalion was formed from volunteers from the 1st Battalion The King's Regiment in Malthone, India which had previously had a role with Special Forces and Chindit operations. The Slouch hat has some clear trace of wear and age as well as some moth damage. Yet retains a fantastic patina. A rarer and unusual piece of British Airborne history.
