WW1 Recruiting Staff Edinburgh Badge

A very scarce original First World War period Scottish 'Recruiting Staff Edinburgh pin badge'; ornate gilt convex disc inlaid with green enamel, depicting a shield bearing red rampant lion with motto scroll 'Pro Patria' (for one's country) on either side, the reverse impressed with very low official issue number '12'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example. Diameter 26mm.
