US (Airborne) Drop Container Aerial delivery type A4 - Unissued Condition

In unissued condition U.S. (Airborne) A4 Aerial Delivery Container. The Type A-4 container was the first to be developed and was standardized in November 1940. And used for dropping of supplies behing enemy lines. Used in the European Theatre of Operations during for example D-Day and Market Garden. The dropcontainer measures a 12' X 24' x 30' and is executed in heavy duty OD shade canvas. Complete with original rope and straps and hardware hooks.
