A scarce original circa 1950's 'Robertson's Golly lollipopman badge', this exampe with hands in one piece no pole going through, ends of mouth pointed, and bolder 'Golden Shred' advertising slogan, the reverse impressed with maker's details in relief 'R.E.V. Gomm Frederick St B'Ham.1'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. An excellent example. Height 35mm.The scarce 'Robertsons Golly lollipopman' circa 1950 design, should not to be confused with the 'Robertson's circa 1970 Golly lollipopman badge' without the slogan 'Golden Shred' to his chest.
