A scarce original First World War period patriotic war song badge in the form of a gilt title circlet 'Allons enfants de la Patrie' inlaid with blue enamel, the voided centre bearing a fine quality blue, white and red French flag. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Diameter 24mm. 'Allons enfants de la Patrie' English tranlation: 'Arise, children of the Fatherland'.
